Modern Luxury 1BR in Venice Mckinley

The view was great, but getting there with luggage was a hassle. There’s no parking, and we ran around the malls trying to find the tower. Even from the closest parking, it’s a 5-10 minute walk, which was tough with our bags. The guard and front desk weren’t very welcoming either.

This felt very suspicious and unprofessional. I wanted to pay through the building or hotel’s official system, but the receptionist was rude and said a room couldn’t be rented directly there. She insisted a “broker” had to handle it and that payment had to be in cash. A woman soon arrived and tried to arrange the rental through Facebook, also asking for cash. It looked to me like an attempt to go around official systems and take advantage of tourists. The service was terrible, and travelers should be careful.

Our unit wasn’t clean, and the service was poor. The sink wouldn’t flush. We checked in at 6pm after a late flight, and the luggage conveyor was slow too. Since our flight was at 20:00hrs, we asked the assistant if we could check out at 2-3pm, but he wouldn’t let us stay. He never smiled and wasn’t pleasant. We also paid an extra 500 for a visitor, but got no extra towels or blanket. The staff weren’t accommodating, and I won’t book at this residence again.

The entry lock was really frustrating to operate, and it took effort to figure out how to get it to lock properly. The furniture looked a bit old and dated. I also couldn’t sleep well without earplugs because the AC made loud squeaky noises. The view of Venice Grand Canal Mall was great, though.
