Soi Suites

I found this hotel through Google while traveling from Delhi, India to Bohol. It's a very nice place in Talibon. The room was clean and hygienic, and the service was excellent. Jessa at reception was understanding and helpful when I needed hot water at night, and made sure I got some. Definitely recommend it.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the restaurant and cafe were good. The room itself was fine, with a comfortable bed and pillows, plus a sofa, table, and small TV, though there wasn't much else in it. The toilet was okay, but there’s no shower partition, so the whole bathroom gets wet. The main issue was the noise. With the hotel right by the National Highway and no soundproofing, traffic noise came through almost as loudly as outside. If you stay up late or sleep in, getting enough rest could be hard. Music in the hallways was another problem. They played it from about 6:30 in the morning until night. I complained and was told the hallway speakers are connected to the lobby. Lobby music is fine, but playing it in the corridors felt inconsiderate.

The Cupper Cafe coffee was excellent, and breakfast was included, which made this a good deal. I liked the hotel lobby, the indoor restaurant, and the stylish outdoor dining area. There were flies around the plates and buffet at breakfast, though. I was doing a round-the-island drive and found the room small but cozy and practical, with a well-designed bathroom. The layout felt cramped, and there wasn’t a proper table and chair for working. I’d still stay here again when I’m in Talibon.

The kitchen crew, both cooks and servers, were the best part. Everything we ate there was great. The rooms are good value, even if they cost a little more than other hotels in town. You get clean rooms, good wifi, and A/C, plus a backup generator for brownouts. They also accept credit cards.
