H Mansion Hotel

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room was tiny, the window was broken, and the toilet and shower didn’t work. The photos don’t match what I saw 😕. They also refused to refund me, so I went across the street and paid again for a room I was completely satisfied with 😃. I’ve never seen anything like that.

The staff are really friendly and easy to approach, and I’d love to come back soon 🥰. The room feels so cozy 😍, just right for staying overnight.

We paid about 3,600 pesos ($100 AUD) a night for a double room at H Mansion in Tandag. For a hotel presenting itself as premium, the stay fell well short of even basic expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it at that price. The rooms were generally clean, but felt unfinished and cheaply built. Two of the three rooms we booked didn’t have toilet seats. There was no mini-fridge, just two towels per room, no hand towels or proper bath mat, and nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Hot water seemed unavailable until, two days into our stay, we discovered we had to switch on a unit under the sink ourselves. Nobody had told us, so we thought there wasn’t any warm water. The shower drained badly and caused water damage to the bathroom door. It even flooded one day. Staff came and sorted it out, but left dirty footprints on the bathroom floor. The lack of care with cleanliness and details was disappointing. The common areas also had no air conditioning running, there was no free water, and small bottles cost 50 pesos each, which felt excessive given the room rates. We were a large family and booked several rooms. We paid 500 pesos for an extra bed in one room, but it came without a blanket. When we asked for one, they charged another 300 pesos at checkout. That fee hadn’t been mentioned in advance, and staff wouldn’t waive it when we raised the issue. There was no daily room service unless requested, and when we asked on the second day, we were told it was only available at certain times, around 10 to 3, and that we had to leave our key behind. We also had to ask for fresh towels ourselves. For this price, the service was extremely poor and below expectations. H Mansion needs major improvements to its hospitality and facilities to match the luxury image it projects. As things stand, it isn’t worth the money.

The location is great, the rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly. Highly recommended!
