L Square Hotel

We wanted an inexpensive room and to pay for one extra bed, as their price list indicated. The receptionist offered us a room for 4k for three people, then just froze when we explained what we wanted. Maybe a few weeks of remedial training would help. We didn't bother na.

The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help us. They even brought breakfast to our room, so my partner and I could eat in bed. I'd recommend staying here anytime. Great place.

The staff were kind and helpful as much as they could be, which is why I gave two stars. Tarlac doesn't have many great options, and this has actually been my best choice so far, so I've stayed here several times. Still, I won't be back in its current state. It needs a serious upgrade. We asked for a quiet business deluxe room but got one facing the main road. The traffic noise was unbearable, even with the TV on and the air-con running loudly at full throttle. They moved us to a quieter regular room, but offered no compensation for the downgrade. The noise improved, though the beds were too small and uncomfortable for two people. We left two days early and again received no compensation. There is no elevator, and the Wi-Fi is horrible.

We held a five-day company conference here. The conference room was decent and the staff were professional, though not especially friendly. We appreciated their hard work, but the service and amenities didn't feel worth the price. The internet was slow and unreliable even though we told them ahead of time that we needed a good connection. Staff tried to fix it, but it still didn't work, so we relied on our mobile hotspots. The food was fine, but there wasn't much variety and we kept getting the same dishes and snacks. One day, the water glasses smelled bad, which was especially disappointing. Better internet, more food choices, friendlier staff, and stricter attention to cleanliness would make the hotel much better. This is meant as constructive criticism.
