Blue Ocean Bohol Beachfront

The room was nice, clean, and had AC, with everything close by. Breakfast was included every morning. We liked the sitting spots by the beach and the outdoor gazebo. The beachfront location is great, especially at the quiet end.

The location is the best!!!! Service was okay, but the towels and bedding in the rooms were stained and grayish-brown. They looked like they used to be white and should have been replaced a long time ago.

We spent a week here after booking directly with the owner through facebook for three birthday celebrations. We paid a 50% deposit and had agreed to rooms 1 and 2, next to each other on the far right. After payment, the owner stopped responding. Finding the place was hard because the back road was blocked, and we had to carry our bags down steps to the side entrance. When we arrived, other guests who had got there earlier were given priority. We were put in separate old rooms, with the aircon behind a bunk bed so it couldn’t circulate properly. Metal items were rusty and rotting, even the tissue holder. The internet and signal were bad. The manager said she didn’t know about our arrangements with the owner and didn’t know how to talk to guests. Service took ages, and for everything we needed we had to go to their "pantry". There wasn’t even a kettle in each room. Breakfast was cold, with flies all over. In the morning, boats filled the beachfront and made it noisy, and there were lots of stray dogs. It was a mess. The management and owner clearly don’t care about customers, so take your money elsewhere.

We stayed six nights a couple of weeks ago, in room three, which had tons of space for two and would be comfortable for a family too. The location was my favorite part. At the quiet end of the beach, away from nightlife, you can sit in the chairs, listen to waves, and watch boats and people pass. Breakfast was simple and just right: eggs, fresh fruit, rice, and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them, then left us to enjoy ourselves. This isn’t a fancy resort. It’s a small, privately run eight-room hotel that’s lovingly cared for and feels more like a home. I hope I can come back someday. We had the best time, thank you Blue Ocean Bohol!
