Chillout Guesthouse

The room was clean and nice, and I had a good stay. Just be aware that the WiFi barely reaches inside the room, probably because of the thick walls. Step right outside the door and the signal is great.

We loved how quiet the resort felt, even though it’s right in the center of Alona. Plenty of good restaurants are less than a five-minute walk away, Alona Beach is about ten minutes on foot, and Tagbilaran is a 20-minute tuk-tuk ride away. We stayed at Alona Swiss Resort for around ten days with my partner and our two daughters, aged two and one. The staff were so kind, helpful, and accommodating, and the night watchman was polite and lovely too. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom was great, the hot water worked, and the air conditioning was reliable. Housekeeping did a good job every time. The pool and jacuzzi were large and cleaned daily, and the grounds were beautifully landscaped, shady, and had a jungle feel. We had a really lovely stay and would absolutely recommend it. Hope to come back soon!

We stayed as a family with our little dog and found the place welcoming and very relaxing. The bottled soft drinks you can help yourself to were a great touch. Staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms had lots of space, and the pool was kept clean. We had an amazing experience.

The only downside for me was the WiFi, though it wasn't a big deal personally. It could be annoying if you need to be on your phone a lot. Otherwise, Alona Swiss was peaceful and quiet, easy to find, and close to the action in Alona. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the shower had hot water and good pressure. The pool was amazing, with lovely trees and plants around it, and the landscaping was clearly well cared for. All the staff were kind and helpful, especially Ma’am April, who was the BEST. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back.
