The room itself was a letdown. The shower was mounted so low we had to hold it to use it, the fixtures were rusty, and the toilet smelled strongly of urine and bat poo. The door’s bolt lock was broken. The air conditioning barely worked, blew warm air, smelled musty, and was extremely noisy. Thin, see-through curtains offered no privacy, especially with workers right outside the window. The pool was out of service, and loud maintenance was going on, including an angle grinder at 9am. We hadn’t been warned. At check-in, the woman at reception was rude and unfriendly. She said the room key had been lost, so we waited nearly an hour before we could leave to explore. There also weren’t any bikes available, despite them being advertised at the front desk. When we tried to check out early, nobody was at reception, so we had to come back later to return the key. We left two days early because we simply couldn’t stay any longer. We’d booked because of the positive reviews, so the experience was very disappointing.

Pedro’s Resort is right on the main road, so it’s easy to reach the popular spots and local attractions. The owners are a very kind, welcoming couple, and that made the stay feel personal and homey. I had a great stay and would recommend it for the convenient location and hospitality.

The owner and his son were incredibly hospitable and kind. They were always ready to help with anything we needed and clearly explained what they could do. The room rates are very reasonable. This was my first time in Bohol, and I really appreciated that they picked us up from the airport even though I asked late. It was already very late, so I paid P300 for the pickup.

The front desk lady was very kind and helpful, and the AC worked great, which was a big plus. The rooms were very basic, though they seemed clean. It’s outside the downtown area, about a 100 peso tricycle ride to get there, so not too bad. The first night, loud music and someone singing into the microphone made it hard to sleep, but luckily it only happened once. It was a fine experience overall.

My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, and the check-in was smooth and efficient. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and I was promptly escorted to the room. Staying at Pedro Resort was truly memorable.
