TipTop Hotel, Resto and Delishop

We had a wonderful time at TipTop Hotel, and my sisters and I are already talking about coming back. I first stayed there in August 2025 with a friend from Switzerland, and we found the cheese raclette excellent, up to Swiss standards. When my sisters planned a Bohol trip for February 5-10, I recommended the hotel without hesitation. The rooms aren’t modern in design, but they’re comfortable and meticulously maintained. The restaurant serves good Asian and European food at fair prices. There’s also a convenient deli shop and grocery store, and nearby restaurants, gift shops, and spa services are easy to reach. After long walks and exploring, we often bought fresh fruit from the nearby stands before returning to our room. The hospitality and value make it a place I highly recommend.

The food was just okay, maybe 7/10. The place is quite a scene if you want dinner surrounded by older expats drinking and yelling along to Margaritaville. There was an impressive range of old drunks, at least American, Australian, and German. I heard men in their 50s and 60s singing Pink Floyd while I ate a mediocre schnitzel. There weren’t any women at the bar, only men, which seemed astonishing for an area with such a collection of top-tier expats. Real world-class alcoholism here.

The Australian Beef Steak was really tasty, but the serving felt small for 1200 pesos. It didn’t look anywhere near the 300g stated on the menu, in my opinion, and there were only a few french fries. I’d finished the plate in about two minutes. Everything tasted good, just a disappointing portion for the price.

Someone recommended this place and I was amazed by the quality. It doesn’t look like much, but the wiener snitchel and cheese fondue were great. I went several nights and will be back. Great wine and staff, plus lots of older western regulars.
