Seacret Lodge

At night they locked me and all the other guests behind steel gates. I got up early to head out and found myself trapped, with nobody around to hear me banging on the fence and calling out. After 45 minutes, I couldn't take it anymore. There was a Jeep parked beside the only fence without a roof over it, but it had barbed wire and spikes like a prison. At 60 years old, I climbed onto the Jeep roof and over the fence to get out. When I returned, I spoke to the manager. He apologized and nodded when I said locking guests in seemed against fire code, even in the Philippines, in case there was a fire. But when I said I wouldn't stay another night and went upstairs to shower, he cut the power. That left me without hot water or air conditioning while I packed to leave. I hadn't planned to write a review until they turned off my power. I guess they didn't like my complaint about being locked in.

Expedia hadn't updated the nightly price, so we booked it for far less than it should have cost. The owner was helpful and didn't charge us anything extra. They gave us a room anyway, and I'll stay here again. Thanks!

The rooms are clean and the staff are courteous. The traditional open-air restaurant can prepare pretty much anything, and the hotel is excellent value. For me, it's the best hotel in Taytay. No need to look elsewhere!

The restaurant makes very good food and, if you ask, will serve meals with sautéed mixed vegetables. The lodging has all the amenities at a good price. I highly recommend it!
