Tay LeLong's Pension House

There isn’t a restaurant, so we walked about 10 minutes to eat at casa rosa. That wasn’t a problem for us, though. We enjoyed our stay enough that we’re planning to come back next month.

The room had a lot of problems. Ants were around the air conditioning unit, windows, and behind the sink, and there was termite dust on the single bed from the ceiling above. My socks turned brown on the floor, the sink kept clogging, and the room’s windows faced a hallway, so noise from other rooms carried in. We were also short on water, which we asked for but never received. There’s a gate at the back that gives you a walking route through the school into town, and the location itself is good. But it gets locked after 8.30pm, and nobody told us. We got locked out and had to walk all the way around. The receptionist struggled to handle more than one thing at a time. We asked about tours and were told someone would come speak with us, but nobody did, so we went elsewhere. It wasn’t a great stay.

The rooms are spacious, the pillows are comfortable, and the price is very affordable. Still, the toilet was dirty and clogged, there was no tissue, and we only got one towel. There’s no food available. I didn’t try breakfast, but instant coffee costs 20p and a cup of hot water is 2p. They’re short-staffed, and nanay seems to handle nearly everything herself. I found it hard to keep asking her for things when she was already doing so much. Google Maps also sent us the wrong way on our first search, so we had to go back to rotonda and then return to the place. I’ve got a lot to complain about, but I appreciate how nanay takes care of things, so I’m giving it 4 stars.

There’s a pool open to visitors from 8am to 9pm. For an overnight stay, this is the cheapest place in the north, much less expensive than other places nearby, and it doesn’t fall behind them.
