Ciudad Fernandina Hotel

The spacious Superior Room on the first floor had plenty of room for our four pieces of luggage. Inside were a table and chair, open clothes cabinet, bedside table with a lamp, TV at the foot of the bed, and air conditioner mounted above it. The bathroom was large too, with a wall-mounted mirror at the entrance and another to the left facing the sink. Its frosted-glass sliding door opened to a shower enclosed in glass, separated from the toilet and sink by another glass divider. The fixed square shower head had a built-in wall niche for shampoo and soap. We arrived before 2:00 PM and the accommodating staff let us check in early. We had booked the Superior Room, paid a ₱500 security deposit, and received one keycard. The guard helped with our baggage and escorted us to the front desk. On arrival, we were struck by the hotel's pleasing design, which fits the Spanish-era feel of Calle Crisologo, about a five-minute walk away. Outside, marble tables, steel chairs, and a fountain give the café-style area a relaxing feel. Breakfast came as a single plate, with a choice of Filipino, Ilocano, or American. Each included one carb, either plain rice, garlic rice, or bread with the American option, plus a viand, side dish, fruit, and a drink of water, coffee, tea, or juice. I found breakfast a bit disappointing, but still enjoyed the stay and had a restful night. The hotel's design is breathtaking, and its location is ideal near Vigan City's main attraction. From Calle Crisologo, it's also an easy walk to Plaza Salcedo to see the dancing fountain at night.

We booked a Superior room for two people on December 10, 2025. The room was a little small, but clean, and the AC worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located near Calle Crisologo, with restaurants, souvenir shops, and other attractions easy to find nearby.

It was a short stay, so we weren't asking for much, but the very clean, comfortable rooms were more than enough for us. The service and location were great too, and we had a wonderful time 😊

This was the best hotel we stayed at in Ilocos. The exterior is lovely, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Our room felt cozy and comfortable, was clean, and had a working heater. Tourist spots and restaurants are very close. Breakfast was free, good, and filling, and I liked the juices.
