Mahi Mahi Dive Resort

We had a relaxing and comfortable stay in this beautiful resort. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the upper-floor rooms had a great atmosphere and lovely views. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the pool was fantastic, with depths reaching 3 meters.

We spent a week at Mahi Mahi Resort while taking an open water dive course, and Lanch was the absolute best instructor. She made the stay memorable. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the resort itself is beautiful. The food stood out most of all, with great variety and quality, so we never felt a need to eat elsewhere. Upper-floor rooms offer nice privacy and good views. It is a bit remote, but that’s part of the charm and works well if you’re there to dive or take a course. Highly recommended for divers!

We’d stayed here with family before and loved the food, ambience, and overall vibe, so we came back for our anniversary. The resort is beautiful, with clean, comfortable rooms, complete amenities, and a well-planned, relaxing atmosphere. The bed was great and the place felt calm and premium. The earplugs were a nice touch. This visit, though, service fell short in a few ways. We arrived late in the afternoon and were told food wasn’t allowed by the beach, only drinks. It used to be allowed, and we’d hoped to have a light meal while watching the sunset. Not a huge issue, but disappointing. It was already dark when we took a quick dip in the pool and asked if the lights could be switched on. We were told they were waiting for the guard to do it, which felt like something that should have been ready for guests. Dinner was the bigger problem. We came down around 8:37-8:38 PM and were told the kitchen had closed at 8:30. Nobody had mentioned last orders when we checked in. Since the resort is far from other dining options, a little consideration for guests who are just a few minutes late would have helped. We didn’t insist, but had to drive quite far to find fast food. The security guard showed genuine hospitality and concern for us, and his kindness stood out. One small but important detail: we appreciated the eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes, but ours had visible mold and should have been checked more carefully. Breakfast was okay, though the portions felt limited for the price. It’s still a lovely resort in a wonderful spot for rest and relaxation. Better communication about dining hours and a bit more consideration for guests would make a real difference. We’d still consider returning and hope for better service next time.

The rooms are very clean and stylish, the boat trips are great, and there are colorful corals nearby. The food is really tasty and not expensive. A lovely place.
