Hunza Grand Motel

The rooms are luxurious and very good for a family, and the food is good, though a little spicy. Hot water wasn’t available in the morning, even though they’d told us it would be. It’s better to check with the manager and confirm first.

The Wi-Fi was the only good part, but they have electricity problems. Service was very bad. Some rooms smell bad, water comes very slowly from the taps, and there was no hot water.

The building is nice and the rooms were spacious, but cleanliness needs serious work. Restaurant tables were left untouched after dinner until breakfast. The owner did send us a complimentary dessert, and the staff were polite, but professionalism and cleanliness need a lot of improvement. Overall, 6/10.

They charged my tour company a 5k penalty because I left early, after just two hours. The hotel was empty, and the welcome was poor. There was no light at first; when I asked, they said they’d start the generator, which took 15 minutes. I changed rooms because the bed and furniture were dirty, and they didn’t provide a towel even after I asked. When I asked about warm water, a staff member said it would come at 1am. In -4 temperatures, I’d have had to stay awake to bathe then. As I was leaving, they said, “hum aap ka garam pani khol detay hain.” Bhai, you’re offering hot water when I’m walking out? There was no heater available either, so you’d be without one in -4 weather. They said they could provide an inverter room for an extra charge. They seem to run on generators most of the time. Not recommended at all without a heater and hot water.
