The location gives you stunning views, and the rooms were spotless and really comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly and attentive throughout my stay at Gilgit Serena Hotel. I had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it. 🤩✨💖💯

The Serena sits above the busy city on a hill, easy enough to find but away from the noise and bustle. Its gardens make for a peaceful break, with places to sit and paths to stroll along. The rooms have their own terraces, and mine was spacious and comfortable; the bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast upstairs looked out across the valley and had plenty of tasty choices. We went into town for dinner, though the lovely garden restaurant made us wish we'd eaten there instead. It's a classic Gilgit hotel that's been around a long time and is still a good choice. The security checks before entry felt like going into a foreign embassy, which was the one thing that put us off. We'd recommend the Serena for a relaxing stay.

We visited in July 2025 and found it peaceful and quiet, a good place to unwind after travelling. Set up high, the hotel has a wide view over Gilgit city, especially beautiful around sunset. The service was excellent, the amenities were top-notch, and the food was brilliant, fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. One of the best stays in Gilgit!

The atmosphere is good, and the hotel brings local architecture into its buildings, which is true here too. It has all the comforts you'd expect from a five-star hotel. Excellent if it's within your budget.
