Hotel Shaheen

Shaheen hotel has a beautiful interior and offers visitors good service. When it’s cold, you can ask for a Gas burner. In winter, electricity can be lacking because the water flow is low.

It’s a calm, clean, peaceful place to stay in gilgit city, and economical too. The staff are really friendly.

Hotel Shaheen International is on Airport Road in central Gilgit, about 819 meters from the city center and close to the airport. City Park and the Uprising Memorial are nearby, making the location convenient for both business and leisure trips. The hotel has 87 air-conditioned rooms with LED TVs, free toiletries, and basic amenities. Wi-Fi is complimentary, though some guests report that it can be intermittent. The restaurant serves local and international food, with attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. Other facilities include a 24-hour front desk, room service, dry cleaning and laundry, and free on-site parking. Guests often praise the location and staff professionalism, but comments on the rooms vary: some find them clean and comfortable, while others mention linen quality, bathroom upkeep, hygiene, and facilities as areas needing attention. It has useful services and a convenient base for exploring Gilgit, though some updates to the property could improve guest satisfaction.

I stayed four nights, and the service was poor. There was no room service or cleaning, nobody at reception, and repeated calls for room service throughout the day went unanswered. Privacy was limited too. The toilet door handle and shower were broken, there was no bathing jug, and the room had just one bulb, like a cheap motel. Management was bad, though the manager himself was very good.
