Cordillera Resort

The restaurant might be worth visiting for a meal, but I wouldn't stay here. The rooms feel uneasy, smell like a hospital, and have low standards for the high prices. Furniture was in bad shape and untidy, the washroom was in poor condition, and there wasn't even a new toilet kit. The balcony looks fancy, but its door wouldn't open.

We got the AC inverter working after asking staff to clean it. When I opened the lid, the filter was blocked and didn't look cleaned at all. They took a while to come, but cleaned it and it worked fine afterward. Another night, people had a bonfire right outside our window with loud music and dancing at 10:45 PM. I asked the night staff to stop them, and surprisingly they did. The staff were polite, respectful, and as helpful as they could be. Food was good too. On the first morning there was a buffet with parathas, bread, omelets, fried eggs, channay, aloo, butter, and tea. We also asked for boiled eggs and the restaurant staff brought them. The next day there was only one other party, so they asked what we wanted and cooked it fresh instead of setting up a buffet. Cordillera Resort is a short way from Balakot, so it works as a layover when travelling a long distance, though I wouldn't call it a destination. The rooms need work. Sheets were washed but had permanent stains; curtains and windows were dusty. The room and bathroom had been cleaned, but there was still dirt and grime in several spots, and mold on the wall beside the toilet. They could make Cordillera Resort a lot better with a few small improvements.

The view from this hotel is lovely, and it's in a beautiful spot. The service was below average, though. WiFi didn't work, the refrigerator trays had fungus on them, and the heater was out. The electricity also went off several times.

This was my third stay at cordillera resort, and this time was really bad. The room, washroom, and sheets were all unclean. There was a TV, but it didn't work at all. These days hotels provide smart TVs with internet.
