Shelton Guest House

Stayed here for the third time. Good price, neat and clean, very good.

Our experience here was the worst I've had at guest houses across the country. The place excused its poor service by saying there was a lack of cooperation and that it was a guest house. They even gave us an iron held together with tape, with a broken dial, that barely worked. We'd been booked in and they knew the day before we arrived, but there was no hot water. In winter, a family of four in a room with two double beds had no blankets until we asked. Then they brought one, followed by another later. We got just one towel, and one pillowcase was dirty. A fridge was set into a sort of table, but it didn't cool, so I couldn't store the insulin in it. The mirror was too far from the table as well. Breakfast was included, but we had absolutely no intention of staying to eat. We only considered staying in Islamabad because we'd had a positive experience in Peshawar.

The place is very clean throughout, and breakfast comes with the price, with Pakistani and continental choices. The staff are helpful and ready to provide different services to make the stay comfortable. Its central location makes it easy to get to shopping malls and some of the best restaurants. I've stayed here several times while visiting Pakistan from the UK, and every trip reminds me why it's one of the best family places to stay. I'd highly recommend it.

Mr. Patrick Gill was at the front desk with a smile whenever we needed him, and his hospitality and helpfulness meant we didn't have to worry about anything. We were a family of five and spent three nights at Shelton Guest House. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were professional and friendly.
