Luxury Inn

We couldn’t stay even one day. My son got sick from insect bites after sleeping in the room, so we left the next day. They took an advance payment and wouldn’t refund it when we didn’t like the place. It looked nothing like the pictures, and the guest house badly needs renovation. The bathroom tubs and sinks were broken and rusty, and there were cockroaches in the rooms. It was the worst guest house.

There was no mini-fridge, and the hotel didn’t offer complimentary cold water, which is a real problem in summer. Instead, guests have to buy bottled water from them. The local water cost PKR 150 and tasted bad. It’s the quality that disappointed me, not the price. The place is seriously outdated and needs renovation. Old, worn furniture and interiors made the stay less comfortable. The AC was in poor condition too. Even set to 16°C, the room still felt like 30°C, especially frustrating in the heat. I’d avoid looking in the kitchen if you want to keep your appetite. I didn’t take pictures of the kitchen, sofas or furniture, or I would have posted them to show their condition.

The owner was there in person and seemed very highly educated. The staff were polite and provided great service. Highly recommend.

Public transport and restaurants are available nearby, in a central part of Karachi. A very nice place.
