The buffet breakfast was the best I’ve had, with a well arranged spread managed by professional staff. Dinner was excellent too, arrived promptly, and was served well. The food was a real highlight of a comfortable stay. There were some letdowns in the room: water leaked in the bathroom, the thermostat didn’t work, and the old furniture needs renovation. The padding on both the easy chair and study chair was unbearable. The room itself was clean and tidy. At the front desk, the receptionist couldn’t explain the room layout, its location or window view, and didn’t know the breakfast hours. The hotel also has no boutiques or café, and its very limited options don’t feel worthy of a five-star hotel.

The pool area was nice to visit. We ordered two iced coffees and two fries for the poolside, but they took a long time to arrive. Mustafa helped by following up, and the food was great once it finally came.

The brunch spread at Marriott was huge, from pani puri, sushi, soups and starters to lahm mandi, roast chicken, pasta, noodles, mac and cheese, potato pie and club sandwiches. They also brought BBQ and prawns to our table, and there were pastries and desserts to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the Rolls-Royce 1922 in the reception area. My wife and I came from London for a special occasion after wanting to try brunch here for years. We had no booking, but were told a table for two might be available. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, we were seated when we returned to the entrance area. For the first hour or so, the DJ played lots of European and UK songs. Since we’d come from the UK dressed in traditional clothes, the atmosphere felt overcompensated to me. Looking around, it seemed people were trying hard to speak English and come across as Western. Still, it was a very good experience.

The breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The washroom was much cleaner than at some other hotels in Pakistan. Zohaib and Momal at reception were kind and helpful, and check-in and checkout went smoothly. Staying with team Marriott was one of my best experiences.

French toast was the standout for me, soft, cooked just right, and delicious. The Marriott Bistro Rozana buffet also had fresh fruit, salads and breads, alongside a tasty, nicely presented mix of desi, continental and international dishes. The calm, elegant setting and generally attentive staff made for a lovely breakfast. It’s best to arrive early, since parking inside is limited and seating gets tight at busy times. Tea and coffee aren’t included in the buffet, and having just one staff member serve them can mean a wait. Price is subjective, but I thought it was good value for a five-star breakfast and would come again.
