Seaview Lodge Guest House

The washroom was very old, and when we raised complaints, no one listened. There was only one room with a servant room, which made the setup uncomfortable. The whole stay felt unpleasant, especially since we felt watched by a camera all night and heard them discussing us.

The guest house was clean and looked after, and the staff were polite, professional, and helpful. My family and I stayed at Seaview Lodge Guest House, Karachi on 13th July 2025, and felt comfortable there. A peaceful, well-run option for families visiting Karachi, highly recommended.

It’s in a decent spot near the beach, with restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. The stay itself was rough. I didn’t get the room I’d booked, the bedding was dirty, the lock seemed easy to force, and there was no hot water. Even though I’d selected card payment on booking.com, they asked for cash three times, then finally brought out a terminal and added a 6% fee. They also wanted the same price for a smaller room. I refused, and after about 10 minutes of arguing, got a lower price. Their reasoning was that since I was alone, I didn’t need the room size I’d booked, but I told them that’s not how it works. I arrived early in the morning.

The kitchen could use a better clean, and the pots and pans are worn out. I ended up buying my own pan to cook eggs. Hot water only came on for a few hours. Still, I found it good value and would stay again. I spent about two months there across three different rooms. The area was safe and quiet, the staff were friendly, and they provided a jug of sweet water. The rooms were comfortable, there’s a full kitchen and a front desk attendant around the clock, and the location is easy to reach, across from a major hospital.
