Panoramic Hotel

We found the staff really responsive and helpful. Just pressing “0” seemed to summon them, and they took care of things quickly. Lahore zoo was an easy walk away, and the historical sites were nearby too, so I’d stay here again. I’d skipped breakfast for 2 of our 3 days because I expected it to be just ok and had seen some comments. We tried it on the last day before checkout and wished we’d eaten it earlier. It was basic, Haleem, aloo, paratha and chai, but tasted really good.

There’s a lot to see around Panoramic Hotel, including Lahore Guided tours, Minar-e-Pakistan, and Jehangir's Tomb & Kamran's Baradari Pavilion. Wazir Khan Hammam and Masjid Wazir Khan (Wazir Khan Mosque) are both about 1.5 mi away, and Bukhara, Pearl Continental Hotel is within walking distance at 1.0 mi. The small hotel has a family-friendly feel, free parking, an on-site restaurant, room service, a concierge, and a 24 hour front desk. Guest rooms have air conditioning, and free wifi is available. A handy base for visiting Lahore.

During my 14-day stay, power went out daily, housekeeping was inconsistent, and I had to ask for cleaning each day. Hot water was another problem. Even after several requests, it was only lukewarm. The weather in Lahore was normal, so I managed, but this could be a serious issue for future guests. Breakfast was disappointing, and the kitchen often seemed to be without a proper chef, which led to delays and excuses. I was also charged for an omelet even though breakfast was advertised as complimentary. Negotiating got me a discount of Rs. 1000 per day on negotiation means 5000 per day, but that didn’t compensate for the problems. Staff kept bringing up the discount, which made me feel ungrateful for raising these issues. A long stay may come with a discount, but I still expect a decent standard of service. I’d suggest looking elsewhere if hot water and dependable amenities matter to you.

The rooms are modern, with card scanners for keyless entry. Data Darbar, food streets, Badshahi Mosque, and Lahore zoo are nearby. I had a nice stay.
