The reception team were smart and sharp, and the cleaners and waiters were very good. Hotel DE Shalimar has good rooms, kept very clean, with neat washrooms and no musty smell. A great hotel overall 😊.

The room itself was extremely shabby, with awful beds and furniture that looked close to falling apart. Paint was peeling off the walls, and the sheets had huge stains, so I had them changed twice in one day. The washroom was cleaner than the room, but its sliding door wouldn’t close all the way. There’s no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, you’ll be lucky to get a ground-floor room. The location is loud too.

Hotel DE Shalimar’s service was the standout. From check-in through checkout, the attentive, courteous staff were always ready to help and made the stay feel premium, well beyond what I’d expect from an officially 3-star hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Great value and exceptional service, highly recommended.
