Hotel Pak Continental

We were exhausted after driving for 12-13 hours, and still had to find another hotel late at night. I was travelling by road from Karachi to Multan with small children, so I booked a room two days ahead to avoid problems on arrival. I called, and the lady assured me the room was booked and locked. She sent photos that looked decent, and we agreed to Rs.7000 per night. When we got there, they said there were no rooms and suggested another hotel. After I got angry, they showed me a room that didn't even have a shower. The reception staff weren't even sorry about the mess. Beware.

The waiters and cleaning staff are polite and humble, but I had a very bad experience with reception. After check-in, they refuse requests and behave badly. They don't seem to know how to deal with male and female guests, and act as if they only want money. Guests pay a lot for the rooms and service, and money isn't everything. At midnight the AC stopped. They said there was an electricity breakdown, but I checked another room at the same time and it was working, with no power issue. I asked the manager to smile, and after a minute the AC was working again. When you leave for 5-10 minutes, the manager sometimes switches the AC off at the breaker or opens the door with duplicate keys. That's really uncomfortable. I judge them for giving bad comments about the female hotel owner. The hotel near kfc appears to offer rooms for 2 - 3 hours to couples, while they only give service to bling and garce. Never try to visit in hotel pak.

I've stayed here several times, and it's been consistently comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are clean and well maintained every time, and room service is prompt and reliable.

We reserved a room two days ahead, but on arrival they said the hotel was full and told us to try their other hotel. Poor service.
