Varioline House

The main disturbance during our stay was noise from the road and the connected building in the morning. We spent two nights recently, in August 25, in a second-floor flat with four bedrooms, attached washrooms, a shared kitchen, and a lounge. The rooftop was available for self bar b que, which we did. Water didn’t come very frequently, but the issue was sorted after we complained, and hot water was available. It was a good experience otherwise.

A good place to stay in Murree, but make sure to clarify all the details with staff. We were there for 3 days and agreed to pay 1000 extra per night for heating from 6 pm to midnight. They gave us a heater for one night but charged for all three. Their tea was very bad; otherwise, it’s a good place to live.

The pictures they show are old and seem meant to draw customers in. We had the ground-floor suite, where the furniture was torn and dirty, and the place smelled bad and felt unhygienic. Even after we pushed them to change the bed sheets, the smell and poor condition kept us from sleeping, so we cut our tour short. It was a waste of money.

The caretaker was really nice and helped us settle in. The place was clean, with wooden flooring, a fridge that worked fine, and an iron as well. The microwave was a little hard to use, and the bathrooms had a very slight smell. Gas shortage means the central heating doesn’t work from 11pm to 8 am, but aside from that, it was a great experience.
