The owners are first-rate, and the place is charming and peaceful. We come several times a year in every season. This January really stayed with me: walking on the frozen lake, where the ice was over 30 cm thick, in bright sunshine was unforgettable.

A lovely breakfast is available at the bar for an extra 35 PLN, and it’s huge, filling and delicious, better than most city cafés. You can also get home-cooked lunches with generous portions, made with care. The hosts live on site and are always around if needed. They’re calm, friendly and considerate, and make you feel like a guest rather than a customer. The rooms are cozy and thoughtfully decorated with paintings and vintage pieces, more like a warm historic home than a hotel room. Everything is clean and well kept, and you can tell the hosts have put their heart into the place. It’s quiet outside, with maintained grounds, a barbecue area and a shared kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge and all the appliances, handy if you prefer to cook. The house is right by the water, where you can paddle boats and watch the many birds. In the evenings it’s just leaves rustling and birds singing. My husband and I spent a few days here, and the secluded, picturesque setting felt like a little paradise where time stood still. A perfect place to get away from the bustle, recharge, find inspiration or just enjoy some peace. A real gem.
