The only real downside is that the rooms need investment. You can see the wear and tear, though everything still works. The place itself is lovely for anyone after peace and natural scenery. It’s tucked among woods by the lake, away from town and traffic, with birdsong as the only background sound. The picturesque woods slope down toward the water. It’s a great spot to rest, clear your head, or write a book. Everyone there was helpful, understanding, and keen to make the stay as good as possible. The town is still close enough to reach by a lovely scenic route.

The food was bad, and I saw workers handling it with their bare hands. The rooms smelled awful, the beds were like concrete, and you could hear everything through the wall. Everything felt very low quality and uncomfortable. Worst hotel.

The owners were so accommodating, and everyone from reception to the other staff was polite and kind. I loved walking through the woods and looking out over the lake from the hill. I stayed there several times back in 1993-1995, and it’s still a lovely, unforgettable place for me in Augustow. Such a memorable experience.

The breakfast was surprisingly good, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. We had a great stay, especially for the price. I was very happy with the service and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Friendly staff and a good price for what you get. The rooms feel like a time capsule from the 1980s, but breakfast was acceptable.
