The meat assortment was tasty, but the rest of the meal and the way it was handled left us deeply disappointed. We asked for two kinds of pierogi, mushroom and meat, both boiled. The mushroom ones arrived fried. Only afterward did the waitress keep repeating that mushroom pierogi are served fried, something that could have been explained while we were ordering. Instead of the meat pierogi, we got cepelinai, listed on the menu as “kartacze.” We said it was the wrong dish, but the waitress didn’t acknowledge her mistake or take it away, and it stayed on our bill. We paid 37 PLN for food we hadn’t ordered or eaten. The meat pierogi have also gone downhill since last year; we had to use spices to cover the unpleasant smell of the filling. We’d been here before and made a long drive back because our earlier visits were memorable. This time, though, the service fell far below what we expect. I work in hospitality myself, so I know a language barrier can cause confusion, but staff should recognize that and own up to misunderstandings. There’s even a separate English menu, which gave us reason to expect the order would be understood. To the owners: keeping that 37 PLN cost you two returning guests who usually spend about 200 PLN.

We came looking for żurek in a bread bowl in Białystok, and this was the only place we found serving it. It was delicious. The kitchen was great, the staff were friendly, and the terrace had a lovely view. Thank you!

The food was delicious, and the portions were so large that my sister and I shared a main while leaving room to try the soups. Those were tasty too. The prices are high, but the serving sizes are huge. I really liked the pierogi, though the dough is different, and I wish that had been mentioned. My little niece ordered them and wasn’t as keen on them as I was. The presentation was a lovely touch: Polish hand-painted Bolesławiec ceramics for the food, and my nalewka came in beautiful KROSNO glass. Bravo to the managers for that idea. Getting greeted at the door was slow. They were busy, but several staff walked past after we were told to wait, and nobody even gave us a quick welcome or said they’d be with us soon. Once we were seated, our waitress was lovely, attentive, friendly, and helpful. I’d recommend the place and hope to return when I’m in the area.

We stumbled on this place and stopped for a meal. It’s spacious, and although several private events were happening, the restaurant was still open. The ribs were tender enough to fall off the bone, and the pork neck was grilled nicely. There’s unlimited bread, pork fat, and pickles, too. A pleasant setting and child friendly. Recommended.
