Sosnowe Zacisze Barszczewo

We booked three rooms, and every one had problems: a strong chemical odor, broken items, and dirty carpets. I couldn’t see what the positive reviews were talking about. Easily one of the worst three-star places out there.

The grounds were in terrible shape, with rubbish scattered around and repair materials left out. The pond was so overgrown we couldn’t even spot it at first, and the footbridge was partly broken and sunk to one side. Inside, we were told the rooms we’d booked and paid for weren’t available, then put in different rooms that smelled bad, were dirty, and had holey sheets. We paid a lot more than we should have for them. They blamed booking.com and told us to ask for our money back, but that wasn’t possible and we never got it. Never again.

It’s a decent hotel, though I’m not convinced it deserves four stars. There’s a nice little outdoor area with wooden benches, but about half of them were broken. The children’s trampoline was there too.

Really great.
