Hotel Marczewski

The beds creaked whenever I moved, so getting a decent night's sleep was impossible. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and seemed uninterested in giving good service. Breakfast was a real disappointment too, with hardly any options and very poor food quality. It felt like no effort had gone into serving a decent meal. There was a disco downstairs during the weekend, and the noise was deafening. Loud, drunk people outside also made noise all night, so it was impossible to relax. It was a complete nightmare. I've never had a worse hotel experience. It was a total waste of time and money, and I'll never return or recommend it. There are plenty of other hotels nearby with much better service and comfort. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

There was parking in the courtyard for a few cars, which was handy. The climb up is quite steep, though, and there are no lifts, so it isn't suitable for disabled guests. I didn't try the restaurant. The atmosphere was nice, and the furniture was clean, functional new reproduction furniture, despite what some reviews say about the place being old.

The location is great, and there's a free parking area, but it's not private. In the morning it was really hard to get the car out. The rooms are small and very cold. There was no air conditioner, and the radiators weren't enough to warm the rooms. It wasn't possible to take a bath, and the restaurant was cold too. Breakfast was okay, but I wouldn't recommend the place.

I only stayed overnight, arriving late and leaving early, so I didn't have breakfast. The place was quiet and clean, and the bathroom was new. Check-in took a while because the receptionist didn't speak any English and couldn't find my reservation at first, but it got sorted out. The location is fairly central.
