The view from the window is beautiful, and the Russian banya is a great touch for long, chilly evenings. The cottage feels cozy and full of atmosphere, like something from a fairy tale. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back!

I booked this place on Booking a few months ahead because I wanted to make sure my children and I had somewhere to stay. The listing even showed a big banner calling it a “Perfect property for one night.” A few weeks later, while booking another trip, I found a message from the owner saying she only rented for two nights and asking me to cancel. I don’t get notifications for Booking messages, so I hadn’t seen it. She said there had been a booking error because I’d booked just one night, when two were required. I would have understood if she had called or texted to explain and sort it out, but she didn’t contact me directly and seemed to assume the message had resolved things. As far as I know, she left it like that, and I might not have found out until we were due to leave. I assume she didn’t cancel herself because that would have consequences. In the end, I was left without accommodation for a trip with my children, when places in the area were practically all booked. That’s why I book months ahead, so I can choose the place I want instead of whatever is left. If Iza had canceled herself or done something to make sure I knew, I truly would have understood and had no problem with it. My one-star review is because I couldn’t stay and was left without a place to go.

Our first stay here, and we’re sure we’ll return. The owners were kind and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious and generous. The cottage was fully equipped and very cozy, with lovely window views. The Russian banya was the icing on the cake. It felt like a fairy tale.
