We had a downstairs room with a stale, rancid smell, and the toilet was dirty behind the lid. The waste bin hadn't been emptied. There was only one small towel per person. The kitchen and bathroom were far too cramped to share between even two families, if the amenities were meant to be shared with guests in other rooms. When we called the housekeeper, we asked for a room for three and were quoted a reasonable price. On arrival, the price was a third higher. She said she'd thought we meant two people, not three. I could barely reach her to ask for a hairdryer, which wasn't available even though it should have been provided. Other, more respectable guests upstairs helped me get in touch. We called at 21:37, and she was willing to wait an hour for us. So 22:30, just 20 minutes after we arrived, didn't seem too late to ask for a hairdryer. Her reply to this comment is amusing: if she'll wait until 22:37 for paying guests, why is bringing a hairdryer at 22:30 to guests who've already paid a problem? For that price, the service simply wasn't proper. When we left, the housekeeper didn't even come out to thank us or say goodbye.

A very positive stay. The room was nicely decorated, clean, and tidy, and the bathroom had everything needed. The owner was polite and courteous, and there's plenty of convenient parking. A great overnight stop after a long journey. I recommend it!

After a long, exhausting trip with our children, we crossed the border and realized we wouldn't make it home before nightfall. We booked two rooms through Booking.com, and the money was taken straight away. But when we reached the hotel, everything was shut. We called and rang the bell, with no answer, and at midnight we had to search for any place that could put us up. In the morning, the hosts said check-in had to be by 10:00 p.m. Nobody had called or messaged us to warn us. Dear hosts, no guests arrived at your door, or rather, we did arrive but nobody opened it, and you didn't even ask whether we were coming or wait for us. How does that make sense? Of course, you kept the money. I can't recommend such a “friendly” hotel to anyone.
