The beer taps didn’t work, and when one of my friends went to look for staff, nobody was in the building. We’d paid to pour unlimited draft beer ourselves, but there were just four bottles of IPA by the tubs, which tasted disgusting. The woman at reception said something about the taps not working, then changed the subject. She offered no discount and tried to sell us golf instead. We’d booked baths for four. On arrival, the staff seemed surprised there were four of us and asked us to wait because they’d prepared only one bath. In the spa area, just one person could change at a time. Eventually we were shown two baths and left with the bottles. We tried to make the best of it, but felt misled.

I only went there to play golf, and the facilities were really nice. The practice range was good, the course was super nice, and I’d recommend it.

It’s a pretty spot, set on spacious green grounds with a Renaissance look. It can be quiet when there isn’t a party happening. Most of the staff were nice and courteous, though a few seemed impatient with guests. At a corporate event, I also saw the grill cook openly drinking beer, which didn’t look right. It could be a good place to recharge for a couple of days.

The spa was luxurious and absolutely great, and the grounds outside were lovely. We stayed in August and had a great time. Our room was in the clubhouse, much bigger than we expected, and part of it had blackout blinds. 😄👍 When booking.com had messed up our booking and we’d paid far more than necessary, the staff went out of their way to help us. The minigolf course was very outdated when we were there, so they let us play for free. Absolutely five stars.

We had an amazing girls’ overnight spa stay. We went for a walk, used the spa, had a treatment, and ate at the restaurant.
