The mountain view here is beautiful. Just a heads-up if you're coming with a little kid: there's a play space downstairs, and once they've seen it, they'll keep asking, "Can we already go back to the hotel, please?" no matter what you're doing outside. :D

The building and interior are well cared for, and at first glance the guesthouse seems quite decent. There's an outdoor playground, a well-equipped indoor game room for kids, and a nice spa room. The actual service falls far behind the appearance, though. Communication was difficult. After booking through Booking, we got a confirmation email in Polish with the option to pay in złoty, even though the price shown was in €. All the guest information and instructions were in Polish too. The hotel description wasn't accurate about the bar either. It turned out to be just a couple of liquor bottles at reception. Draft wine was available at a late lunch, but not at other times, and getting a beer here was absolutely impossible. The so-called coffee room has a coffee machine and an option to make tea, but we had to discover it ourselves. The only tea was black, including at breakfast. We also couldn't adjust the room temperature because the radiator was controlled remotely. Worst of all was how uninterested, unwilling, and unfriendly the staff seemed. There was nowhere to spend time except our room. Our small group wanted to sit in the dining room in the evening, since there's no bar or restaurant, but the staff refused to turn on the lights. After we kept asking, they let us sit in the shadows with just ONE lamp on in the whole hall. Never again, thank you.

Great meals and a familiar, welcoming atmosphere, with a room that looks out over Tatra's. It's an ideal spot to spend time with kids.

The views are superb and the location is great. Breakfast was delicious, and we found the staff professional and the hosts friendly.
