Hotel Homer

The room was roomy, comfortable, very clean, and looked recently renovated. It had a traditional heater and no air conditioning, which suited a winter stay. Parking right by reception made things easy, and the front desk gentleman and lady were both kind and helpful. I’d stay here again when I’m nearby.

The location worked well, with everything close by, and it’s especially convenient if you’re a speedway fan. The window view was disappointing, though, as it looked onto the Lidl parking lot. Shopping nearby is easy. Dinner was poor, since you had to eat what they served, while breakfast was decent and let you choose from cold cuts, cheese, vegetables, scrambled eggs, and more. I didn’t pick this hotel myself, but it met my main needs: warmth and cleanliness so I could rest and be ready for the next day. I’ll come back when I’m in the area. The hotel is welcoming to people with vision problems and is home to the Polish Association of the Blind. I really liked the photography exhibit in the lobby, where visitors could feel the pictures. It made me think about what losing my sight might be like. I tried reading by touch and couldn’t manage it, so it was amazing to see how information can be shared that way.

The breakfasts were very good, and the gentlemen kept refilling things as they ran low. They were helpful and accommodating. Rooms were clean, there was hot water, and the parking lot was large. The staff were nice and helpful, too. Kids can use the air hockey and billiards for free 😀

The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable, and everything was clean. There was some noise outside, but the hotel was perfectly fine for getting a good night's sleep before a business meeting.
