Great!

I was there for more than a month. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. It was clean, with someone checking in every day. The busy railway tracks about 50 meters behind the hotel were a real drawback. The rooms got terribly hot in summer, especially the attic. It may not be falling apart, but it badly needs a full renovation, particularly the bathrooms.

The balcony in our VIP room was a nice touch, even though we never got to sit out there. The bigger issue was the bed: its hard spring mattress made a good night's sleep pretty much impossible. The towels were stiff, and the soundproofing was awful. For a typical two-star hotel, it's fine for one night, but I gave it three stars because the room felt overpriced. There are more interesting and comfortable places for the same money. Also, if you arrive on a weekend, don't expect breakfast, since they simply don't serve it then. Cleanliness wasn't great, though I didn't spot obvious dirt. I didn't check under the bed.

A good base for exploring the area, in a quiet neighborhood on the western side of Częstochowa. There's plenty of free, secure parking. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were polite and attentive.
