Hotel Wenecki

The location is great, right on the edge of the old town and near restaurants. The rooms are cute and clean, and the shower gets nice and hot. It's good value, but don't expect too much. There’s no elevator, and breakfast meant sharing the room with a lot of flies. Our bathroom was tiny. A shelf or two by the shower would have helped, but there weren't any.

We stayed with family for more than three nights, and the staff were accommodating. Breakfast was fresh each day, the coffee was nice, and our cosy room had a shower and all the amenities. The bed was comfortable too. The shared walkways and stairs look a bit dated, but the place has charm and what you need for a memorable stay. The little grey parrot at reception talks and is great fun. There's also a spa if you want some pampering, for an extra charge. Some rooms facing the inner courtyard have balcony access.

The people here were super kind and helpful, and everything is within walking distance from this perfect location. There's free parking, though spaces are somewhat limited. My room suited a business traveller well, with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom, and a clean space. The WiFi reception in the room was very poor and needs improvement.

The car park is inside the hotel, and from there you can walk up to the Monastry with the Black Madonna, Poland's most holy place. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and good. A very nice place to stay.
