The views from the villa, or from the nearby meadow on Ku Helenie Street, are among the most beautiful in Poland. We brought our dog, and he felt right at home. The place is atmospheric and affordable, and it even has a plant nursery. Barbara, the granddaughter of the villa’s builder, runs this beautiful guesthouse with her husband. They’re both treasures and know so much about old and new Czorsztyn. We’ll definitely return.

We only stayed for bed and breakfast, so we didn’t get to know the property or owners very well. Still, Mrs. Basia welcomed us like family and served a delicious breakfast, while Mr. Andrzej let us sample his brew. The certificates covering the dining room wall speak to his expertise! Willa Jasna is a very pleasant, spotlessly clean place, beautifully set above the mountains, reservoir, and Niedzica Castle. We’d gladly come back.

The garden has herbs that are the owner’s hobby, and they use them to make delicious liqueurs. In the evenings, the owners put on bonfires with sausages to roast and potatoes cooked in the ashes, offer first-rate homemade liqueurs, and share old stories and anecdotes. The place has hosted many famous guests. Breakfast was good overall, though a few eggs were missing and the homemade bread wasn’t quite to my taste. Everything was clean, there’s a play area for children in the garden, and it makes for a lovely weekend with a truly homely feel. The lake dock takes about half an hour to reach on foot with a child. It’s a charming guesthouse with a nostalgic atmosphere, partly from its decor from the communist era or earlier. If you want to feel some of the spirit of childhood, this is the place. The room furnishings could use an update while keeping that character, especially the mattresses.

The guesthouse is close to the lake and a grocery store, with a pizzeria opposite. We fondly remember our vacation here. We booked two rooms for five people, but could easily have fit ten. Upstairs, there’s a terrace where you can take in the view over coffee, and out front there’s a small garden with a barbecue area. Best regards.

Mr. Andrzej makes delicious liqueurs from different fruits, and Mrs. Basia is very kind and hospitable. The villa has been welcoming guests since 1936, with a vintage feel that makes it a lovely place to relax. From the terrace you can see Lake Czorsztyn and the Tatra Mountains. It’s peaceful and quiet, with birds often visiting the property. I recommend it to everyone.
