Apartamenty i Pokoje Na Letniej

I came away disappointed. The place is a long way from what I'd call apartments, more like a workers' hotel. The rooms are cramped, with cobwebs and lots of dust under the beds, and cleaning happens while you're away without your knowledge. The shared kitchen is open to everyone, but its microwave was so filthy I could barely heat anything, and the dish rack was grimy too. The advertised pool was empty. There's no washing machine, though the owner can do your laundry for you, with you paying the laundry cost plus 20 PLN.

The place itself is pleasant, so it could have earned five stars. What spoiled things was the shared kitchen being cleaned at 7 a.m. on Saturday, with cupboards and dishes banging while guests might be trying to sleep after a long drive. A lovely building and garden are only part of it, the guests need to be considered too.

We knew when booking that the sea is about 1.5 km away. The apartment is right by a promenade leading straight to the sea and the city's tourist area, and it's a peaceful spot, especially suited to runners. The owners were kind and helpful, and even though we arrived early, the room was ready and the keys were waiting in a locker. It was clean, well kept, and equipped with towels and kitchenware. There's a pool, playground, and barbecue area on site.

It may be cheap, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms and apartments are in very poor condition, and the service felt unfriendly. The photos make the place look much better than it is, and with the hosts living in the same building, we didn't feel we had privacy. They also seemed fed up with tourists, particularly children. The city itself is interesting and worth seeing, but I'd look elsewhere for accommodation. :( I don't recommend it.
