Hotel Fryderyk

The place looks stylish, and the rooms are quite spacious. With a car, it's a perfect base for a winter vacation: Zieleniec Ski is about 10 minutes away, and plenty of great restaurants are within walking distance. Breakfast was good, especially the scrambled eggs.

We had a lovely, romantic dinner. The fish was very good, and the steak was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. It was cooked well and wasn't dry or chewy.

The place was peaceful, with a delicious breakfast and kind staff. Its distinctive decor makes it a special place. When you book a hotel like this, you know it may be a bit dated, so at this price I wasn't expecting a newly refurbished interior. Everything worked, and I highly recommend it.

The old Silesian villa is lovely, but the owner seems to have no feel for hospitality. The service was particularly bad: the staff were unfriendly and rarely spoke English. We couldn't get bread rolls at breakfast before 10 am, dinner wasn't available after 8 pm, and the scrambled eggs were the worst I've ever had. There was no English menu even though we asked. In our room, a shutter was missing, the towels were falling apart, and there was a lot of dust behind the sideboard. We could hear every bit of running water through the walls, and only one double power outlet was free for charging phones and other things. Dear owner, please sell this innocent house and let a professional run it. Terrible and disappointing.
