I was there in June and would recommend it. The food was good and there was enough, even for men. Treatments happen at another facility, which is actually a plus since it's only a five-minute walk away. After 3 p.m. you can go to the pool, or use the commercial service. The downsides: you only get one towel for the whole stay, and changing it costs 10 PLN. Bed linen can be changed too, but only for a fee. Resort parking costs 20 PLN a day, but free spaces along the road are just 10 steps away. Pay TV is 120 PLN for the whole stay, and internet costs 40 PLN for the whole stay.

We had a really good stay at the sanatorium from April 1st to 22nd this year, and hope to come again. The food was very good and beautifully served, and the treatments at Jan Kazimierz were good too. The rehabilitation staff were professional. The administration and service staff were very kind. Special thanks to Ms. Ela, the ward nurse at MONIUSZKO, for her extraordinary kindness. Stay 6-27/12/2025. Treatments at the spa went well, so we did get the main therapeutic benefit we came for, and we have no complaints about them. The drawback is having to walk several hundred meters back to the accommodation in winter after the pool, hot bath or mud bath. The building is old and needs thermal modernization, though it's very clean. The nurses were lovely, but if you get sick over Christmas you may only be offered a painkiller. Seeing a doctor means going to an emergency room a dozen or so kilometers away. Food was the worst part. Breakfasts and dinners were edible, though not much like a diabetic diet. Lunches were awful, as if prepared by someone who had no idea how to cook. Sorrel soup and żurek (a sour rye soup) were no-brainers, but the second courses were worse: potatoes cooked to mush and meat less than half the recommended weight, looking and tasting like an old sole. Nothing topped the cooked mackerel roll with strips of vegetables. We'd rather have had potatoes with salad than something like soup or a salad with green beans, sausage and tomato puree. The positive food reviews must be from someone who can't cook, or written by the cooks themselves. I even found a hair in a cabbage roll that was 80% rice and 20% meat, and got a piece of rotten tomato with dinner. At least the holiday food was edible :) The terrestrial TV had a few poor channels for a ridiculous price, and the slow internet kept freezing. Linen changes cost extra. After repairs, air clogged the radiators. The person who came to bleed them didn't have the equipment and seemed unwilling to do it, even after we asked several times. It was freezing, and the gaps between the window sashes and frames were so large we used half a roll of toilet paper to block them. Smokers can't go out after 10 p.m., and there's no designated smoking area in the building.

I'm a resident, and the cooks make dinners so good that a five-star restaurant would be proud of them. They could rival the dinners served at the King's on Thursdays. The cooks and staff are incredibly kind to residents, too. Thank you, M.G. - (O5)
