Breakfast was one of the highlights, with fruit, vegetables, cereals, different dishes, bread, coffee, tea and a great tea selection, plus lemonade, water, juice, and even waffles you can make yourself. There’s also a takeaway option with free sandwiches and coffee. Staff told us to take what we needed for the road, which helped a lot on our long journey. The hotel is right in the Old Town, and our room looked out over the historic buildings. The view really did look like a painting. Locals had told us Focus Premium Hotel Elbląg was the best place to stay in Elbląg, and after our business trip, I agree. It’s a four-star hotel. Our double room had lots of useful touches: a sewing kit, shoe cleaner, still and sparkling water, coffee and tea, paper and a pen, an empty fridge, and a safe for valuables. The bathroom had soap, lotion, shampoo, and body wash in refillable bottles. The door made a bit of noise when opening and closing, which was slightly annoying but not a big deal. I personally missed having slippers, which I usually expect in a four-star hotel, especially when I’m trying not to pack extra things. The staff were friendly, helpful, and kind throughout. I especially want to mention Ewa, the cleaning lady. Our “please clean the room” sign had accidentally slipped away. When we put it out later in the afternoon, she noticed right away, checked whether it was okay to clean then, and got started. The room was clean within minutes. Guests can use the pool, sauna, and jacuzzi for free, and bathrobes are provided. Massages and other spa treatments cost extra. Bring your own swimsuit. Some small items are sold on-site, but they cost more than usual, and I’m not sure adult swimsuits are always available. I mainly noticed options for children. There’s a restaurant in the hotel where breakfast is served, and it operates as a regular restaurant later. Hotel guests get 10% off lunch or dinner. The location, facilities, and service made for a comfortable and elegant stay, especially for a business trip.

The receptionists were all really friendly and helpful, and the beds were clean and very comfortable. There’s a small fitness room with the basic machines, and I enjoyed the sauna. I asked the coach to lock it for me so nobody would come in. Recommended.

The room was nice and the location was okay, but the food was absolutely terrible. The pasta was cold and tasteless, and the chicken cutlets were hard as stone and inedible. There was no coffee or soft drinks. Replace the chef at once. Try another hotel.

The location is excellent, but the room let us down. The hotel team did try to sort out the problems as quickly as they could.
