We stayed at Amber Hotel Gdańsk on October 30. Booking.com showed a rate of about 245 PLN, and the receptionist said we could book directly for the same price. We paid 300 PLN including breakfast, at 30 PLN per person. Since we had an early flight, the receptionist offered to arrange breakfast for 5:00 AM. We agreed and paid, but nothing was ready that morning. A new staff member told us the kitchen was closed and couldn't find any note about our payment. We got neither a refund nor an apology. It was a very disappointing and dishonest experience, and we don't recommend the hotel. The walls also let a lot of sound through. Even neighbors talking loudly can keep you awake, and strong wind outside sounds terrifying.

The location puts the hotel between the Airport and Old town, and the bus stop is a three-minute walk away with regular service. The best part is that a single bus goes from the Airport. Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were kind and super nice, and our clean room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was really good, with different food each morning. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

You can walk to the city centre, and parking is available on the hotel grounds. But it is also offered to people coming in from the street, so there's no guarantee you'll find a space for your car in the evening. Breakfast was okay, and there was water and tea in the room. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.

The spa was a lot of fun, with a sauna, jaquzzi, and a bucket of cold water we could pour over ourselves. Breakfast was good too. My partner and I spent three days here for our 4yr annniversary, and we're really glad we picked this hotel. The room was nice, with a desk and mirror that was perfect for someone who likes wearing makeup. I did panic a little when I saw a silverfish in the bathroom, though I understand they're a common problem in hotels. We'll definitely stay here again. ;)
