In the end, the third apartment was spacious, nice, and properly heated, but reception kept making mistakes. First, after we’d spent several hours traveling from Silesia, we were handed keys without the gate remote and had to go back to the key collection point for it. That evening we found the sofa in the four-person room was broken and impossible to sleep on. The apartment was very cold, and the small radiator in the room and even smaller one in the bedroom couldn’t keep up. We somehow managed until morning, asked to move, then had to collect keys to another apartment. That turned out to be a double room for four, so we made another trip to get keys for a third apartment. Whenever we called reception, we were told, “I’ll call you back in a moment,” but hours went by without a return call.
The employee was really nice and tried to explain things, help, and arrange a fix after we reported the problems. But from the start I was frustrated by one shortcoming after another. The air conditioning seemed to do whatever it wanted: it didn’t respond and switched itself on in the evenings. The shower drain barely worked, maybe at 10%, and some instructions for using things might be missing. I was disappointed by the terrace, which you reach through the balcony door on the main side where everyone can see you. There’s little cozy atmosphere, though not every terrace is on that side. I also missed a small table or bedside table for my keys, wallet, phone, and other things. The neighbors’ kettle was burnt and needed replacing. For cleanliness, I’d give it 8 out of 10. There were noticeable gaps in the equipment: refrigerator, dishwasher tablets, detergent, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, laundry detergent, washing machine, coffee machine in some units, a sweeping brush with a broken handle, a mop, and both electric and manual vacuum cleaners. The car park has a barrier and remote. In the end, the bed was made. It was a disaster.
The wide, quiet beaches were perfect for relaxing with our dog. There’s a small dog beach at entrance no. 18, Sobieszewo, Gdańsk, and the apartment has a fenced garden. The place is on Sobieszewo Island, next to the forest, close to the beach and city center, but tucked away and peaceful. It’s a great base for cycling and walking, too. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped. Staying here was a wonderful adventure, and I recommend it!
We loved the beautiful area and all the places to walk, and Gdańsk center is nearby, even reachable by city bus. The apartment was brand new, fully equipped, and came with a terrace and parking space. Thank you, we’ll definitely come back!
For the money, this was excellent. Our one-bedroom studio had everything we needed, and the location was great, near the sea, the Vistula River, shops, and restaurants. Closed parking was included, which is unusual for the area. The two things we missed were a freezer in the fridge, so we couldn’t keep ice cream, and a washing machine. After the beach, sand got on our clothes, and we had to freshen them up the old-fashioned way in a basin. We highly recommend it for a vacation.
