Black Swan House

We stayed in the Two-Bedroom Master Suite and had a wonderful time at Black Swan House, right on Długi Targ in the heart of Gdańsk’s old town. The views from the rooms were amazing. Getting in was easy: access is through a courtyard at the back, and the aparthotel’s instructions through Booking.com were very detailed. We had been a little concerned about arriving around 1am, but there were no problems. They answered our questions very quickly, and housekeeping came daily, which we hadn’t expected. There are reception lockers where you can leave bags after checkout, which worked perfectly while we waited for our afternoon train to Warsaw. It was great value, and I’d stay again, especially for a longer visit. One thing to know for a longer stay is that there’s no microwave, though there is a kettle, plates, and cutlery. The building isn’t accessible: you have to use stairs, and there’s no lift. It’s a historic building, and most tenement buildings along Długa have steps. Our suite was on the first floor, so we only had one flight of stairs, while other rooms may involve as many as three. Keep that in mind if you have limited mobility or heavy luggage.
