The staff were genuinely friendly and polite, and the food was surprisingly good for the price. We tried the breakfast buffet one morning and found plenty of choices for everyone. The bar and cafe were also good value for the quality of the drinks. Each floor had water coolers and carafes, which was much nicer than having to buy bottled water. They even offered us a coffee or lemonade voucher each morning if we skipped room cleaning, which was new to me. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the amenities were better than expected. The hotel is just outside the old town. It was so affordable that I’d recommend it to anyone, especially after paying twice as much for much worse hotels elsewhere.

The staff were fantastic and did everything they could to make things easy for us during our three-night visit. The hotel in the old town has a gorgeous modern update and a quirky, artsy feel. We also tried the new cocktail masterclass, which was welcoming and informative, and a great addition.

There are supermarkets and a few places to eat nearby, and the old town is about a 15-minute walk away. The hotel bar has a pleasant atmosphere, and the sauna was a nice extra. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a really good buffet. We stayed two nights after a friend recommended the hotel, and I’d happily recommend it too and stay again.

The view is honestly pretty unattractive, but the building’s architecture is beautiful enough to make up for it. This is a large, well-maintained hotel in a historic building, very close to the centre. The common areas have a good feel, the staff are helpful, and it welcomes pets and children. The thermal insulation is excellent, which matters when the nights get down to -20.

We had dinner there one evening and it was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was good too, with lots of different choices. During our four-night December stay, the lovely room was kept clean, and the large bathroom had a walk-in shower. They serviced the room daily, changed the towels, and topped up the tea and coffee. It’s a beautiful place to stay in Gdansk. We’d definitely recommend it and come back.
