We called shortly before arriving to ask about check-in, only to learn that our paid-for apartment had been double-booked. They said it was bad luck for us. Mistakes happen, but instead of apologizing, they emailed us saying the apartment had been canceled at our request. We were left to find somewhere else during Poland's busiest weekend of the year. At best, this was incompetence, and it felt like a scam.
