We stayed four nights, booked through our tour operator, and really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and great location. Our room on the fourth floor faced the main street; it was warm, roomy, and had plenty of proper storage. We tried to learn a little Polish but only managed hello and yes/no. All the staff spoke English, which we appreciated and which made the stay easy. Breakfast was served either as a buffet in a room near reception or in the ground-floor restaurant, depending on how many guests were staying. Both had a good range of hot and cold food and drinks. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.

The historic character and updated, spotless rooms made Holland House feel especially welcoming. It’s right in the heart of Gdansk, and the elevator made hauling luggage easy. I barely speak Polish, but the staff were glad to help in English and were very accommodating. I wish every hotel were like this.

Breakfast had a lovely spread of both hot and cold food, and the location made it easy to visit the main parts of Gdańsk. The hotel and staff were lovely. Its distinctive medieval style works really well throughout the rooms and hotel. Highly recommended.

The Georgian restaurant downstairs is excellent, and the service was very pleasant. The location is very good too. The mattresses and pillows could do with being replaced.

We had a lovely weekend in Gdansk, and Holland House was ideally placed for the restaurants and Christmas market. The hotel felt more like a 3-star than a 4-star to me.
