The stay left me feeling unsafe and badly let down. The dorm mixed short-term travelers with long-term residents, and I found the atmosphere uncomfortable. One woman stayed in bed eating and talking loudly while I tried to sleep, and watched me whenever I opened the locker beside her head. I kept my passport and phone with me. In my experience, long-stay guests sometimes acted as though they owned the shared space, with dirty looks or silent treatment. I think separate rooms for long-term guests would help. I was also unhappy with how my belongings were handled. Before moving to Warsaw, I asked about storing them. Chris first seemed welcoming, but after I explained I had government documents and electronics, he became passive-aggressive and pressed me to use a shared basement in another building. He said five people had access, which made me uneasy. All the lower bunks went to long-stay guests. Chris said I could move down after a day or two, but it never happened. The upper bunk was so hot that although it was 21°C outside, it felt like 32-35°C in bed. I couldn't sleep under the duvet the first night and used a towel instead. The bedding issue got more frustrating. On day two I asked only for a duvet cover. Chris said to leave it and he'd put one on my bed, but six hours later nothing had changed. Thomas at reception refused to help unless I spoke Polish or Russian, and wouldn't find someone who spoke English. When Chris came back, he apologized but handed me a used duvet with visible ketchup stains and a bad smell. I didn't ask again because I wanted to avoid more hassle. When I told Chris about Thomas, he called me a liar and said he'd check the cameras. At checkout, I said I'd leave a bad review; he replied that I could write what I wanted and he didn't care. I've worked in hospitality for 11 years, and I found the service and professionalism unacceptable. I've always tried to help guests even when we didn't share a language, and that basic care was missing here. The place also needs better cleanliness for bedding and shared areas, and a safer, more respectful environment. I left with a very bad impression and wouldn't return or recommend it, especially for a short stay.

My room was very clean, and the other people in my all-female six-bed dorm were relaxed and respectful. The kitchen was a different story: it was pretty nasty, and there was just one usable hob, so making a full meal meant cooking things separately. A guy seemed to be there on his laptop 24/7 with loud music playing. I couldn't wait to leave after cooking, and the atmosphere felt awful. Maybe it's fine if you're not traveling solo, but it wasn't cosy for me. The toilet floor was wet every time, so you just have to step around the puddle. I assume an uneven floor keeps the water from reaching the drain, and fixing it might mean redoing the floor, so I can see why it hasn't been addressed. Staff were friendly, the price was cheap, and the location was decent, about a 15-minute walk to the Old Town.

The room I booked, a female dorm with a bathroom, wasn't available, and the staff were rude when I complained about being downgraded. They told me, "if you're not happy just cancel." My replacement room was ice cold with only a thin blanket. There were no bed lights, and the toilet was outside down a freezing corridor. A horrible experience.

For a single night, it was okay. We were given a larger room than we had booked, and the basic amenities were there. Still, the room felt dark because only one light worked, and the bedding looked very worn. The quality overall was a bit lacking.
