Hotel Wolne Miasto

The luggage lockers are really useful if you've checked out but still want to leave your bags and walk around the city centre. I liked the place overall: the room was clean and welcoming, and although the facilities were basic, I had nothing negative to report. The self-service setup and communication were convenient, with clear directions for finding the entrance and unlocking the doors. You're right in the city centre, just 1-3 minutes on foot from the main tourist promenades, yet my room was quiet. One thing to know is that you have to use the stairs, so it won't suit anyone who can't manage them. That's a consequence of being in the centre, where the ground floor is taken up by shops, restaurants, and other businesses.

I felt completely safe staying here as a solo female traveller. The room was lovely and spacious, with everything I needed, and the quirky art pieces were a real highlight. When I messaged to ask for more towels, they arrived exceptionally quickly. The location was perfect for my trip to the Christmas markets.

Cute rooms, a perfect location, and amazing service. The air conditioning works beautifully, though it has so many options that you need to be a bit tech savvy. The only thing missing is a mini fridge XD. There are no elevators, but Gdansk is a stairs city anyway lol.

Check-in and check-out were easy, and the owner was great. Everything we needed was available, and the prices were the best. Just be aware there’s no elevator.
