Scala Apartamenty by Moderna Profit

It was so quiet inside, with no street noise at all :) The apartment was beautiful, clean and new. It felt as if we were in a newly built apartment building.

We had a great stay. The apartment felt almost new, was stylishly furnished, and had everything needed for a comfortable visit. Having parking in the underground garage was a real help. It's easy to reach the old town on foot, and buses and trains are close by. The service was quick and reliable.

The bed and bedding were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The flat was a good size, with a balcony, bathroom, modern new finishes, a washing machine, dishwasher, and coffee maker. The location was good, and they even offered us a free baby cot. But the place is a complex still under construction, with unsold units being rented while work carries on. There was drilling outside from 7am, and it often went until around 7pm, despite reception saying it would stop at 2 or 3. At night, loud kids and partying neighbors made things noisy too. The walls and ceiling are thin, so we could hear drilling, furniture moving, doors slamming, and beds squeaking. Reception was friendly, but dishonest about the noise, including saying the superior windows made the rooms silent. There's no rack for drying clothes, the elevator is unfinished and has graffiti inside, and nobody enforces the house rules. Extensive gates and construction fencing meant there was only one way in and out. For over 100 Euro a night, we could have stayed in a 5 star hotel in the city center. We'd gladly have given up space for a good night's sleep. Our deposit couldn't be refunded, so we made the best of it. Bring earplugs.

The hosts were easy to contact, and the price was great. I stayed for a short trip and found everything I needed in the apartment. The kitchen and bathroom are very modern. It's about a 10-minute walk to the old town, and the tram lines 8 and 9 are a 4-minute walk away.
